We’re looking for a Head of Legal to lead our legal efforts and provide comprehensive legal support to our teams across the organization. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, handling employment matters and providing strategic legal advice on varied and dynamic issues. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial law, excellent English communication skills, and a creative legal approach.
In this role, you will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, GDPR, Compliance, Procurements, partnership/referral/consulting agreements, and NDAs.
- Enhance ScaleOps’s privacy program to comply with various privacy laws and regulations and provide ongoing guidance on data protection and privacy issues.
- Collaborate closely with teams across the organization (such as Sales, Product, R&D, Customer Success) to address legal needs and implement best practices.
- Prepare employment-related documents and provide guidance on U.S. employment law matters.
- Advise on corporate legal matters such as corporate governance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's law degree from a top-tier university and qualification to practice law in Israel.
- 5+ years of commercial law experience in a commercial or hi-tech department at a law firm, or serving as in-house counsel at a tech company.
- Experience and comfort with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Mastery of English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (such as CPRA, U.S. state laws, HIPAA) – an advantage.
- Corporate legal experience – an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
