We’re looking for a VP Legal to lead our legal efforts and provide comprehensive legal support to our teams across the organization. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, handling employment matters, and providing strategic legal advice on varied and dynamic issues. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial law, excellent English communication skills, and a creative legal approach.

In this role, you will: 


  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, GDPR and other compliance matters, procurement agreements, partnership/referral/consulting agreements, and NDAs.
  • Enhance ScaleOps’ privacy program to comply with global privacy laws and regulations, providing ongoing guidance on data protection and privacy issues worldwide.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across the organization (such as Sales, Product, R&D, Customer Success) to address legal needs and implement best practices.
  • Prepare employment-related documents and provide guidance on global employment law matters
  • Advise on corporate legal matters, including corporate governance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s law degree from a top-tier university and qualification to practice law in Israel.
  • 5+ years of legal experience in a startup or tech company, with exposure to commercial law, privacy, and corporate matters.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a legal team or department
  • Mastery of English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (such as CPRA, U.S. state laws, HIPAA) – an advantage.
  • Corporate legal experience - an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
